Intact
Account Manager
For
Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000 and Windows
NT Accounts databases (including Active Directory).
Runs under Internet Information Server.
Intact
Account Manager™ enables you to provide
'Account Managers' with the ability to add and
remove users and groups, unlock accounts, change
passwords, and manage group membership. As a network
or security administrator, you will appreciate
the reduced number of calls for help from users
who've forgotten their password or have been locked
out of the domain because of too many failed logon
attempts. Your 'Account Managers' will appreciate
not having to bother you to perform routine account
management.
Intact
Account Manager distributes two primary account
management functions to what we call Account Managers.
Account Managers can be given the ability to manage
certain groups and/or certain user accounts. You
simply select which groups the Account Manager
can manage (add or remove users), and you select
which groups contain the accounts a user can manage.
Intact gives you the flexibility to provide your
Account Managers with a powerful tool while never
compromising the integrity of your accounts database.
Accounts:
Your Account Manager can be given the ability
to manage accounts. Your Account Manager can change
some fields in some accounts, including the account
password. You select groups that contain the accounts
an Account Manager can maintain, and the Account
Manager is given the ability to modify accounts
contained in the groups you selected. For example,
the Payroll Account Manager could manage accounts
for users in the Payroll office, and the Purchasing
Account Manager could modify accounts for users
in the Purchasing Office, with neither being able
to modify accounts in the other's department.
Groups:
Your Account Manager can be given the ability
to add or remove accounts from certain user groups.
You select which groups an Account Manager can
maintain then let the Account Manager determine
who should have access to those resources.
