Jade 5.0® plug-in for Adobe Acrobat® 5.0 / 5.0J extracts
data that would otherwise be unobtainable from PDF files. Using
our unique 'zoning' feature, Jade 5.0® allows you to extract
text, tabular data and graphics from these files so that you
can edit the information in Windows applications such as Microsoft
Word®, Excel®, and Adobe Photoshop®.

Feature
Jade 5.0® zones native PDF documents for data extraction,
and transports information into other applications via dragand-drop,
copy-and-paste or export -to-file. Text and Table Zones are
exported in their original format. Graphic zones are exported
in BMP format (using any user-defined resolution and color depth).
Automated Information Extraction
This Adobe Acrobat® plug-in performs high-quality, high-accuracy
conversion with productivity enhancing functions. Using multiple
zone extraction, implicit sequencing, font mapping, usage statistics
and custom tagging of output, Jade 5.0® allows for flexible,
automated export of the content in your document.
Japanese Text Extraction
Jade 5.0® extracts Asian language text and tables from either
horizontal or vertical layout originals.
Superior Format Preservation
Jade 5.0® maintains character formatting by mapping fonts,
font style, font size, text color and superscripts. It preserves
your background and foreground colors while removing hidden
and overstrike text. Jade 5.0® will also detect paragraph
breaks, remove hyphenation, insert bullets, preserve margins,
indentation, alignment and line spacing.

For output to standard desktop displays, Magellan 5.0 ®
uses Cascading Style Sheets and Netscape’s Layers technology
to Provide HTML output that matches the page structure of the

Graphic Extraction
Magellan 5.0 ® Extracts and accurately places raster and
vector graphics from the original document into the HTML output.
It rasterizes all vector graphics from the original and saves
the images as JPEG files in their original sizes.
